Exbos Limited have been involved in numerous previous projects initiated from either tender or by direct contact with our organisation. Kent County Council
Project: Low Carbon Suppliers Database and Directory
The Low Carbon Suppliers Database, launched as GreenChain was a tender awarded to Exbos Limited by Kent County Council. The site is a directory of low carbon technology and service providers based within eight South of England counties.
The Green Chain project had very tight timescales with less than six weeks between award and delivery. Exbos Limited successfully delivered the fully functional, fully tested site on time and on budget working closely with representatives from Kent County Council. The system provides the functionality for suppliers to self register and then be approved by system administrators. The suppliers, once added to the site, are searchable by technology, location and name. Users of the site can browse suppliers, contact them through an onsite form and create their own shortlists. The site also integrates with Google Maps making suppliers easy to find.
The administration of the system allows Council representatives to update suppliers, technologies, environmental accreditations, manage users and has a full content management system inbuilt. All administrative and logon functionality is secured behind an SSL certificate layer. The system also includes comprehensive reporting covering user access, Google search reports, supplier web site transfers and contact requests. The reporting functionality forms part of the secure administration area.
Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (ASBAH)
Project: Contact and Client Management System
Exbos Limited was sub contracted to tender for and subsequently develop a contact management system for the well known charity, ASBAH. The project has specific information security and data protection requirements that we were deemed ideally suitable to meet due to our background in financial services.
The software, and a number of subsequently requested enhancements, were delivered on time and to budget with no significant issues in either testing phase. A complex, yet easy to administer, security policy was implemented to ensure access to information was restricted only to the relevant permitted groups. The project was handed over to a third party for hosting.
Stone Communications
Project: Print Maestro The Online Print Broker
Exbos Limited was engaged by Stone Communications to take over support of their existing Print Action system and to develop a modernised version to be known as Print Maestro. The new system, developed by us, is a complex print brokerage platform involving elements of desktop and web technology.
The software allowed printers to provide template driven art work, such as business cards and letterheads, to corporate clients via a secure web portal. The portals are used by large multi-national corporations such as Sony, Bear Stearns, ChemDry and Accord.
The software was delivered on time, to budget and is still being supported by us with future enhancements. The project is also hosted, backed up and monitored on our own support infrastructure.
Active Leeds Limited
Project: Multi-site E-Commerce and Marketing
Exbos Limited used our CommerceCloud engine to develop an enhanced online store. The store allowed Active Leeds to manage their products across several stores simply and efficiently. Each store has been tailored and search engine optimised for its specific market and price range.
The mult-store marketing method enhances sales and simplifies product management. This lets the store owner focus their sales strategy and leads to a noticable increase in sales and site visits.
